OAKWOOD, GA. – Poultry processor Wayne Farms, a subsidiary of Continental Grain, adopted remote viewing technology for use at the company’s processing facilities. The processor is working with technology-provider AMA and the company’s XpertEye software.

XpertEye is a web-based platform that provides real-time, high-quality video and audio using RealWear HMT devices which are head-mounted “wearables” designed for industrial environments. Wayne Farms plans to use the technology for a variety of applications including:

Virtual customer audits, farm tours and production orientation sessions

    Customer collaboration and product development

Oversight, quality control and compliance management

Vendor and supplier management and collaboration

    Equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and installation

The real-time video streaming capability allows transparency and accuracy for animal welfare or quality control audits, while reducing physical visits to farms, plants and other facilities...
