Brazilís agribusiness export revenues break record for October with high prices

Brazil's agribusiness exports reached US$8.84 billion last month, a record for October, reflecting higher international prices, the Ministry of Agriculture said Tuesday, November 16.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Foreign sales revenue of agribusiness enterprises rose 10% compared to the same month in 2020, with prices more than offsetting a 12.5% drop in volume, according to a study by the Ministry's Secretariat of Trade and International Relations (SCRI).

 

Imports of agribusiness products increased from US$1.2 billion in October 2020 to US$1.4 billion in the same period this year, up 16.8%.
