Parma Sausage feels right at home in its Strip District relocation

Parma Sausage Products, a Strip District stalwart for more than 60 years, has returned to its roots.

 

The company, with its delectable array of salamis, pepperonis, and pork products, moved back to its original location at 1734 Penn Ave. last week after spending seven years at an adjacent spot.

 

Erin Schumacher, Parma sales manager, said the homecoming has reminded her of her grandfather, Luigi Spinabelli, who used to visit with friends, sharing a “spuntino” of prosciutto and wine.

 

“It’s bringing back a lot of memories,” she said.

 

Parma first opened its doors at the 1734 Penn space in 1954. Over the years...
