61% of U.S. soybeans, 41% of corn harvested

The U.S. corn and soybean harvests made solid progress last week. Most key U.S. growing areas had favorable harvest weather, but some southeastern areas of the Corn Belt saw delays tied to Hurricane Delta.


As of Sunday, 41% of corn is harvested, compared to 25% the week before, 20% a year ago, and the five-year average of 32%, with 94% of the crop mature, compared to 87% on average, and 61% rated good to excellent, down 1%.


61% of soybeans are harvested, compared to 38% the previous week, 23% last year, and 42% on average, with 93% dropping leaves, compared to the usual pace of 90%, and 63% is called good to excellent, also down 1%.


68% of winter wheat is planted, compared to 61%...
