USCA Wants Help for Cattle Market Hit From COVID-19

The United States Cattlemen’s Association is asking the U.S. Department of Agriculture for assistance to help cattle producers facing a historical drop in market prices from the coronavirus outbreak. USCA’s Lia Biondo says they’ve made a formal request to Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue for that help.


She says they want the Ag Secretary to make Commodity Credit Corporation or CCC funds available for various assistance programs and to make sure meat packing plants can continue operating.
