FBF: farmers upbeat with trade progress

President Trump’s State of the Union highlighted trade progress with the US Mexico Canada Agreement and the phase one agreement with China.
American Farm Bureau Executive Vice President Dale Moore says many farmers are feeling upbeat about the progress.
“While still early in terms of actual sales we can point to, it certainly gives the farmers and ranchers that I have the privilege working for a bit of an upbeat feeling that perhaps this year we’ll actually see some positive effects in the markets for a number of the different commodities,” he says.
He tells Brownfield it was a great relief that the House and Senate approved the USMCA and President Trump signed it.
