MOSES director recommends a 2020 exit strategy to avoid “being a statistic”

The director of the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service (MOSES) recommends farmers have an “exit strategy” for 2020.


Lauren Langworthy, who runs a grass-fed beef and lamb operation with her husband in west-central Wisconsin, says 2019 was full of financial and environmental challenges.


“So as we look ahead to 2020, I think it’s important that we think about the resilience in our farming operation. And where we have exit strategies for our various enterprises so that if things aren’t looking good, we have another opportunity.”


She tells Brownfield that could be a cover crop to help with fertility.
