China buys more U.S. pork and soybeans. New weekly export sales data shows 1.56 million metric tons of soybeans and 3500 metric tons of pork. Those numbers come from the week ending September 26th. USDA shares some private sales activity this week, including another 252,000 metric tons announced today.
New purchases and next week's trade talks have renewed optimism the U.S. China dispute will end soon but one Rabo agri-finance analyst doesn't agree. Steve Nicholson says he thinks China will likely wait it out until the 2020 elections to conclude the trade war.
