Brazil says China approves 25 meat processing plants for exports

BRASILIA, Sept 9 (Reuters) - Brazilís Agriculture Ministry said on Monday that China has authorized 25 Brazilian meat processing facilities to export to China.
In a statement, the ministry said the plants include 17 for beef exports, six for chicken, and one each for pork and donkey meat.

Brazil meatpackers Minerva, Marfrig authorized to export to China - filings

BRASILIA ó Brazil meatpackers Minerva and Marfrig said in separate securities filings on Monday that they each have two plants authorized to export beef to China.
Minerva said its two plants have a capacity of 3,500 head of cattle per day, while Marfrig said its two plants are located in the state of Mato Grosso. Shares in the two firms rose 3% and 2%, respectively, in early trading.
