Officials Look Favorably on U.S.-EU Trade Deal
KTIC (NE) - Dec 27, 2012
The U.S. is more open to the idea of a trans-Atlantic trade deal to open Europe's protected ag markets by eliminating tariffs and cutting regulations than ever before.
This deal with the European Union would be one of the most complex and ambitious trade agreements ever attempted - becoming the world's largest economic relationship at nearly 927-billion dollars of annual trade in goods and services.
U.S. officials say no political decision has been made yet - but President Obama favors an agreement - as long as it is comprehensive and can be concluded quickly.
