The opening rounds of the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement get underway next week. National Pork Producers Councilís Vice President and Counsel for Global Government Affairs Nick Giordano is hoping U.S. negotiators will be able to keep the gains made in the original NAFTA.
He says the Trump administration is focused on getting rid of deficits in trade agreements. Giordano says with that in mind, the administration needs to remember there arenít any major trade deficits in any of the FTAs the U.S. is engaged in.
