Pork Executive Hoping Port Deals Lead To More Trade With Cuba

The Port Authority of Houston, Texas and its counterpart in Cuba have signed an agreement of friendship and commercial cooperation. The deal between the two launches an opportunity to continue trade in agricultural products between the U.S. and Cuba. Nebraska Pork Producers Association Executive Director Al Juhnke says that is a good sign for future trade and that Cuba is a good potential market for U.S. pork.

 

He says however for full trade between the U.S. and Cuba, there are some restrictions that need to be lifted and itís up to Congress to get that accomplished.
