USDA: Langford man didn't pay for $4M of cattle in timely fashion

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has issued a complaint against a Langford man for alleged violations of the Packers and Stockyards Act.
USDA claims that Keith Jensen, who operates Keith Jensen Livestock, failed to pay for 2,210 head of livestock in a timely matter from Sept. 11, 2014, to Feb. 12, 2015, according to a news release from USDA.
The late payments totaled $4.07 million, according to the release.
Failure to pay for livestock purchases by the close of the first business day following the purchase and transfer of possession is a violation of the Packers and Stockyards Act.
