DES MOINES, Iowa — FFA hogs began moving in at the Iowa State Fair, but not without extra scrutiny.

Veterinarians donned protective suits on Tuesday to inspect hogs entering the Iowa State Fairgrounds for African Swine Fever.

Hogs with signs of illness will not be allowed on the fairgrounds.

KCCI's Marcus McIntosh went to the fairgrounds to learn more about the safety measures ensuring hogs at this year’s fair are disease-free.
