A second major seizure of cattle in distress occurs in southeast Saskatchewan

Animal Protection Services has made a second major seizure of cattle in southeast Saskatchewan in the past month.
This past week 131 cattle were taken from a farm north of Lampman after the animals were found to be in distress.
When officers arrived, they found 16 dead cows.
In mid-February, 319 cattle were seized near Stoughton.
Animal Protection Services executive director Don Ferguson says officials try to work with producers to ensure livestock have access to adequate feed and water.
When those issues are not resolved, he says cattle are seized after a veterinarian determines they are in poor condition...
