If chicken nuggets are one of your family’s go-to meals, it’s time to check your supply.

Three U.S. poultry producers issued recalls this week for packaged chicken nuggets. On February 1, Pilgrim's Pride Corporation recalled about 58,020 pounds (lb) of not-ready-to-eat breaded chicken fritters after a customer found white rubber in the food. On January 28, 2019, Perdue Foods LLC recalled 16,011 lb of frozen, fully cooked chicken nuggets because of mislabeling and an undeclared allergen, milk. And the following day, Tyson Foods Inc. recalled 36,420 lb of frozen, fully cooked chicken nuggets after complaints by customers who found small pieces of rubber in the food.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) classified all three recalls as “Class 1,” which means the agencies believe there is a high likelihood of serious health consequences or death with use of the product. As of February 1, none of the companies had reported any injuries with the recalls.
