Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. reported a fiscal first-quarter profit Tuesday of $47.2 million, or $1.96 a share, up from $46.4 million, or $1.92 a share, a year earlier. Analysts polled by Refinitiv were looking for $1.91 a share.
Total revenue rose 3.3% to $733.5 million, ahead of the consensus forecast of $719.3 million. The average menu price increased about 2% for the quarter.
Same-store restaurant sales grew 1.4%, beating the flat estimate by FactSet. Same-store retail sales increased 4.3%.
